muvie
the curse of the golden flower is a rather good movie with lots of symbolism and irony, where under the majestic facade, there lies a rather dysfunctional royal family. or maybe very dysfunctional. however, on the entertainment side, it was rather boring because i must have watched the ju hua tai mv so many times that all the scenes looked familiar and read so many reviews that i kind of know the entire storyline. but i must say the scenes with thousands of soldiers/palace maids were rather cool though i wonder where they got all the people. i am also apt to wonder whether tang dynasty women really wore such skimpy clothes then. aren't they suppose to be conservative?
i m going to watch the taiwan countdown concert later. on tv, of course :)
